Viewport Historian Service

The Viewport Historian Service allows you to connect to your favorite data historian, like AVEVA PI, Aspentech, Exaquantum or any other historian (that supports OPC UA directly or via an OPC converter).

The service can return data about historian tags, as well as a 'live' value or a range of historical values that can be used to plot a trend.

Historian data

You can retrieve historian data using a link such as /Elements?id=R4D/SDV-102,R4D/V-700-A.

Parameters:

id

Comma-separated list of historian tags, for instance R4D/SDV-102,R4D/V-700-A

timestamp

If provided, retrieves the value(s) at that point in time. You can use for example * to get current values, *-2h to get values two hours ago, or an ISO-8601 formatted date/time to retrieve values at that point in time.

valuePropertiesOnly

If provided, indicates if you want to retrieve only value-related properties from the historian. Set this to false to retrieve other properties as well (for instance equipment type, manufacturer, etc.)
